As both a historian and a teacher, I believe that I am not in a classroom just to instruct my students. My students are also there to instruct me. I believe that it is important that they learn from me where they came from and to learn about themselves, but from them I know I will learn just as much, if not more, about who they are and who I am. . .and this will make me a better teacher.
